SES America, Inc. is proud to announce the recent completion of manufacturing and delivery of over one hundred and twenty (120) M5000 embedded Dynamic Message Signs for the Virginia Department of Transportation. The signs have been deployed in collaboration with Manassas, VA-based Traffic Systems & Technology and Fort Myer Construction Corporation as part of VDOT's I-66 Multi-modal Improvements Inside the Beltway project (also known as the 'K03' project)
Along Highway 49 near the Highway 71 north exit just outside of Kansas City, new SESA energy saving travel time signs with adjustable vision enhancements have been installed in March.
SESA has partnered with TXDOT Traffic Operations and the Levy & Company electrical contractor, to complete Retrofit Upgrades of 6 Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) placed at off ramps along major freeways in the San Antonio metro area. These 'Type 3' retrofit signs depict two lines of 15 characters in an 8 inch high character format.
Dynamic Message Signs are not only used by local and state governements, SESA recently commissioned multiple types of signs for Norfolk Naval Base in Virginia.
SES America, Inc. has kicked off 2018 by initiating manufacturing on embedded dynamic message signs for use in several Truck Parking Availability System (TPAS) projects across the U.S. The signs are used as part of an overall system designed to inform truck drivers of safe, reliable locations to park and rest as required under federal guidelines, and display the number of available parking spaces at a given location.
Wyoming DOT, with SES America has signed a procure and installation agreement to complete new technology Retrofit Upgrades of 43 existing legacy Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) along interstates I-80, I-25, and designated state highway routes. Spread throughout Wyoming from Yellowstone to Cheyenne, are side of the road DMS with 12 inch characters as well as walk in, over the road DMS signs depicting three lines of 25 characters in 18 inch high character format.
SES America, Inc. and partner successfully commissioned and installed Variable Speed Limit Signs on the I-25 south of Sheridan, Wyoming and will help improve safety by adjusting the speed limit to the weather conditions. The state of Wyoming receives a large amount of snow every year and reducing the speed under harsh conditions has a direct positive impact on road safety.

SES America, Inc. is proud to announce the recent completion of manufacturing and delivery of its Messenger Series Dynamic Message Signs for the New Hampshire Department of Transportation. The signs are being installed as part of NHDOT’s widening and reconstruction of the Spaulding Turnpike in Newington and Dover.
Largest M6000 ever
SES America succesfully delivered an immense Walk-In Messenger 6000 in Buffalo, NY . This full matrix DMS is 36.5 ft long and 7.11 ft high with a display matrix of 28 x 160 pixels and a pitch of 66 mm, making this type of DMS one of the largest ever commissioned by the company.
This DMS is equipped with an access door for ease of access and maintenance to all components. All components are rated to operate in very harsh environments and extreme temperatures. It also has high performance LEDs allowing for better visibility of messages displayed.
The use of high intensity LEDs and highly efficient power and control components are part of the Messenger series’ overall system aimed at eliminating the need for expensive cooling systems and reducing maintenance costs, while providing 30% greater energy efficiency than the industry standard.
SESA also provided controller cabinets with the latest version of the SCU6 controller, specifically designed to meet DOT requirements. Like all of SESA products, this DMS is fully NEMA TS4 and NTCIP compliant. SESA technicians and customer service team provided assistance to contractor during commissioning and installation.
