SES America, Inc. recently completed the manufacturing and installation of full color LED Dynamic Trailblazer Signs for the Michigan Department of Transportation, and is set to soon begin manufacturing of additional signs for the next phase of this ongoing work.
SES America, Inc. (SESA) has completed the manufacturing of over three hundred (300) solar-powered embedded dynamic message signs to be installed as part of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation’s “Go Time” project. Once completed, the project will provide the largest travel time network available in any state in the U.S., allowing motorists across the Commonwealth to instantly access travel time data on major corridors across the region.
SES America, a Rhode Island-based manufacturer of dynamic LED signage, is pleased to announce the installation and successful commissioning of the first Full Color Walk-In Dynamic Message Sign in the state of Rhode Island.
The full color sign was provided and installed under contract with the Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC) on the highway connector between I-95 and T.F. Green Airport in Warwick, RI.
“Providing this sign for the Rhode Island Airport Corporation allows us to continue to build and improve upon the work done when we installed the first DMS here almost fifteen years ago,” said SESA Eastern Regional Manager Brandon Tessier. “This latest installation will allow Rhode Island residents access to critical airport information in a way not seen before here in the Ocean State.”

SES America, Inc. proudly announces the addition of its single line, full color embedded DMS to the Florida Department of Transportation’s TERL-approved product listing.
The addition of full color embedded DMS to SESA’s already approved product line continues to build out the offering of high-quality, energy efficient dynamic message signs the Rhode Island-based company manufactures for installation on highway projects across the US and Florida.
Each embedded DMS is able to display standard characters in both 12” and 18” heights in a variety of vivid MUTCD-compliant (Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Displays) colors, and is capable of being used for a myriad of applications including variable toll rates, lane status messaging, travel times and advisory messages. The signs are controlled by a state-of-the-art controller located in a roadside cabinet, complete with a full-color touch screen, full NTCIP compliance and the ability to control multiple embedded DMS from a single controller.
SES America, Inc. is proud to announce the addition of its M5000 Task-Specific Dynamic Message Sign to the Florida Department of Transportation’s Approved Product List (APL). The addition of the M5000 TS-DMS to the APL is a continuation of SES America’s commitment to bring its full product line of industry-leading energy efficient DMS to the State of Florida.
The M5000 TS-DMS features low power consumption display boards outfitted with high intensity LEDs, housed in a NEMA TS-4 rated DMS housing. The M5000 is designed to be installed within static highway signs, perfect for applications such as toll rates and lane status messaging.
The M5000 TS-DMS joins a short list of embedded DMS approved by the Florida DOT Traffic Engineering Research Lab for sale in Florida. Known nationwide for stringent quality standards, districts in Florida must adhere to the FL DOT Approved Products List for all Traffic Control Device purchasing decisions.
SES America successfully completed installation of 24 task-specific, solar powered Dynamic Message Signs M5000 SOLAR at nine locations across Cape Cod, MA.
The installations are part of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation’s Real Traffic Time Monitoring initiative aimed at relieving congestion on highly-trafficked areas of Cape Cod during the busy spring and summer tourist seasons by providing travel time information to motorists at key locations along busy stretches of highway. Information is provided via the use of Bluetooth readers in conjunction with the travel time modules – all powered solely by the use of solar panels.
Each sign uses state-of-the-art, high efficiency display boards outfitted with high-intensity LEDs and a patented tilting mechanism capable of refining the viewing angle to ensure the travel times are visible to all passing motorists.
